Special items

Special items are rare, unique, or event-gated pieces: mystery boxes, lucky trinkets, quest rewards, and gem exclusives. They often break normal pricing rules and can trigger random or location-based bonuses.

Mystery boxes and gambling

Mystery purchases trade predictable cash for variance—you might pull consumables, gear, or flavor logs. Budget only surplus money; never bet rent money on boxes unless you are role-playing chaos.

Lucky and passive charms

Lucky items sometimes fire on day pass or location change, granting money, mood bumps, or odd encounters. Keep them equipped (carried) for passive proc rates; selling too early loses long-tail value.

Unique quest gear

Story milestones award non-market items (trophies, keys, module artifacts). These often enable new actions or achievements—read the effect line immediately when you receive one. Duplicate protection is common: if the shop says you already own something, the game is steering you toward a different sink.

tip

If an item description mentions “while carried”, assume it needs inventory space every day you want the bonus. Rotate specials when you swap life phases (e.g. drop luck charms when entering prison where contraband rules apply).

Drop tables and gem offers can shift between app versions.
