Education overview

Education is how you raise skill ceilings faster than job experience alone. In Life Simulator Reloaded, courses cost money, take in-game days, and apply daily skill gain toward a max level cap for that enrollment.

Course categories

CategoryWhat it representsTypical use
SchoolChildhood fundamentalsBoost academics and school success early
ApprenticeshipTrade-style intro programsFirst rung for bartender, cook, developer, acting, economics
CollegeAdvanced programsUnlocks senior job ranks; often requires the apprenticeship twin
SpecialistFocused electivesDeep dives: driving, self-defense, persuasion workshops, gourmet cooking

Read listed requirements like a tech tree: if a college course names another course as prerequisite, finish that course before you burn days expecting progress.

How education affects careers

  • Hard gates: Some promotions require finishing a specific course—no certificate, no title.
  • Soft power: Even without a hard gate, higher skills pass decisions and interviews that gate pay bumps.
  • Calendar cost: Each active course consumes days; stack courses sequentially, not in parallel, unless the game lets you focus on more than one at a time (usually one at a time).

Cost / benefit framing

  • Cheap short courses (school, beggar survival) buy optionality early.
  • Mid-price apprenticeships (cook, bartender mixology) pay back quickly if that job is your income core.
  • Expensive specialist/college tracks (gourmet, secure driving, professional acting) are long-run investments—fund them with delivery or mid-tier service work.

You can accelerate some education spends with gems when the game offers it—save gems for the longest programs if you are impatient, not for courses you can finish in a week of play.

Suggested mindset

Pick one economic vertical (food, tech, finance, fame) and align every course purchase to that vertical for the first in-game year. Generalists are fun but slower to hit the flashy promotions.
