Beggar

The beggar path is a full street-life career: you earn outside conventional employers, train persuasion and survive in streets, and face a constant stream of random events and decisions—including the infamous pickpocket branch with high risk and high drama.

Core skills

  • Survive in streets — resilience to weather, hunger, and trouble; rises from daily work and street events.
  • Persuasion — better outcomes when begging, negotiating, or talking your way out of problems.
  • Fighting and sports show up in chase and conflict options tied to street events.
tip

Treat survive in streets as your defensive stat and persuasion as your income engine. If both lag, you will fail skill checks on decisions long before you starve.

Career quest: Beggar Career

When you take the job, the Beggar Career quest can track three milestones:

  1. Beg 100 times — grind the beg action and daily flow until the counter hits the target.
  2. Become district leader — promote through job levels until you hold district leader rank.
  3. Earn 500 total from begging — cumulative income from begging-related earnings (tracked for the quest).

Completing the arc pays a lump cash reward and marks you as someone who mastered the district.

Unique decisions and risk

Beggar life is decision-heavy: turf disputes, police patrols, gang pressure, and pickpocket opportunities. Success can spike morale and money; failure can drain health, morale, and cash. Read skill requirements before you tap the risky option.

tip

If you are saving for a clean exit from the street, avoid high-variance decisions until you have a cushion. Pickpocket is a story moment—not a stable salary.

Education synergy

Street-focused courses (street survival workshop, persuasion training) accelerate the same skills interviews and promotions expect. They are cheap compared to college tracks and pair well with this career.
