Prison quests walkthrough

Entering prison auto-starts all three quests: Survivor, Scholar, and Kingpin. They overlap; order below minimizes friction.

  1. Survivor — passive; just stay alive 10 / 20 / 30 days served in prison (tracked as time inside).
  2. Scholar — actively park in library for random finds, letters, chapel, counseling — anything that trains Prison Life toward 50% and stacks books read.
  3. Kingpin — needs 3 fight wins, gang formed, and a very high Prison Rep milestone (push rep aggressively late; the quest expects top-tier inside influence).
info

Survivor milestones tick on days served in prison, not sentence length on paper. You can complete Survivor while working the other two if you do not early-release.

Survivor

MilestoneGoal
Serve 10 / 20 / 30 daysTime served in prison

Play pattern: keep morale healthy (pray, letter, meditate), avoid solitary spirals, and do not riot until you understand the risk.

Scholar

MilestoneGoal
Read 5 booksDriven by library random events and books-read progress
50%+ Prison LifePassive +1/day plus training actions

Efficiency:

  • Visit library often to roll the library find event pool.
  • Stack letter, counseling, gossip interactions, and successful meditate for extra Prison Life growth.
warning

If you join a gang, you lose parole, counseling, community service, and the passive good-behavior tick — Scholar is still doable, but slower if you needed those crutches.

Kingpin

MilestoneGoal
Win 3 fightsAny prison fight win counts
Form gangRep ≥ 80, 2+ jail friends ≥ 50 friendship, win initiation fight
Rep milestoneRaise Prison Rep until the quest completes (very high bar — think endgame inside status)

Efficiency:

  • Farm fight training for skills, then pick inmate fight interactions or yard events.
  • After gang unlock, gang meetings every 2 days spike rep quickly.
  • Successful riot middle band grants +25 rep (but riot is once and risky).
tip

Complete Scholar books before going all-in on gang (optional). Kingpin wants social investment anyway — align friendship grinding with gang requirements.
