Dating app
The dating app is a Tinder-style feature where you swipe through profiles to find romantic matches. Open it from the Relations button on the top navigation bar, then switch to the Dating App tab.
Requirements
Before you can start swiping, you need:
| Requirement | How to meet it |
|---|---|
| Age 18+ | Wait until your character turns 18 |
| Mobile phone | Buy one from the Electronics Shop |
| Profile bio | Write a short bio when you first open the dating app |
| Not in prison | You cannot use the dating app while serving a sentence |
Setting up your profile
The first time you open the dating app, you'll create a profile:
- Write a bio — type anything you like; this is your public intro.
- Choose your preference — select who you're interested in: Men, Women, or Everyone.
Your profile also shows your character's avatar, age, job title, and country automatically. You can change your preference at any time from the profile screen.
How swiping works
Tap Start Swiping to begin a session. You'll see 10 candidate profiles — each shows a name, age, bio, and avatar. For each profile:
- Swipe right (or tap the heart) → you like them and a match roll happens behind the scenes.
- Swipe left (or tap the X) → you pass — no roll, move to the next profile.
After all 10 profiles, you'll see a summary screen with how many matches you got.
Match chance
When you swipe right, the game rolls to see if it's a mutual match. Your chance depends on:
| Factor | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Base chance | 40% |
| Looks stat | +3% per level |
| Profile boost (gem feature) | +25% |
| Maximum | 95% |
Higher looks means more matches. If you're not matching enough, invest in your appearance — gym, fashion items, and anything that raises the looks stat.
A character with looks level 10 has a base match chance of 70% — and with a boost, that jumps to 95%. Looks matter on dating apps, even simulated ones.
What happens on a match
When you match with someone:
- They're added to your Known People list as a romantic contact.
- A diary entry confirms the match.
- The dating app matches statistic increments.
From there, you can interact with them like any other romantic contact — dates, gifts, and relationship-building through the social system.
Cooldown
After completing a swipe session, there's a 3-day cooldown before you can swipe again. The remaining days are shown on the dating app screen.
Don't want to wait? You can reset the cooldown for 5 gems.
Profile boost (gem feature)
Before starting a swipe session, you can boost your profile for 3 gems. This adds +25% to your match chance for the entire session (all 10 swipes). The boost badge appears on your profile while active.
Best used when your looks stat is already decent — stacking a high base with the boost gets you close to the 95% cap.
Incoming matches
Even when you're not actively swiping, the dating app works in the background. Each day there's a 5% chance that someone likes your profile and becomes a match automatically. When this happens, you'll see a diary notification.
This passive feature requires the same eligibility — age 18+, mobile phone, profile set up, and not in prison.

Strategy tips
Maximize your match rate
- Level up looks before heavy swiping sessions — gym, fashion, and related items all help.
- Boost when your looks are already high to push near the 95% cap.
- Don't bother swiping if your looks stat is very low — invest first, swipe later.
Build your social circle
The dating app is the fastest way to add romantic NPCs to your relations list. Combine it with:
- Park and restaurant dates to grow love and friendship with matches.
- Gift-giving to accelerate relationship meters.
- Marriage once a relationship is strong enough.
Gem efficiency
- 3 gems for a boost is worth it when your looks are moderate (level 5–8) — the +25% makes a big difference in that range.
- 5 gems for cooldown reset is useful if you're actively trying to build a romantic social network quickly.
- If your looks are already at level 10+, skip the boost and save your gems — you're hitting near-cap anyway.
Match chances and cooldown durations may be adjusted for game balance.
