Prison items

Prison items come from the prison market (canteen), crafting, gems, or fight rewards. They manage meters, reputation, fights, and escape attempts. Several are contraband: guards can shake you down; failing the hide minigame costs items and adds sentence.

Gems and crafted gear

• Smuggled phone — 10 gems (no cash price). Enables outside calls; ~3%/day confiscation roll that adds 5 days if caught.
• Shiv — not sold; craft in prison (achievement Craftsman). Weaker than the bought knife but free if you have the route.

Fight rewards (no shop price)

• Champion belt — earned by beating the champion after 5 prison fight wins (one-time event). Passively grants +3 prison reputation per day.
• Guard uniform — helps escape attempts; treated as contraband like shiv/phone during shakedowns. It is not on the standard canteen list—watch prison events and content updates for how yours appears.

First purchases: ramen/coffee for sustain, diary for prison life, then stash if you run contraband. Save blueprint for when you are actively escaping. Delay the gem phone until you accept sentence risk or have stash protection.
