Streamer

The streamer job is part of the celebrity module. You build a personal channel, grow subscribers, earn money from live streams, and climb through six career tiers as your fame rises. Unlike acting, streaming is driven by your equipment and daily engagement rather than audition luck.

Requirements

You need a laptop or gaming PC to become a streamer. Without one, the job appears locked with a message telling you to buy a computer first. Head to the electronics shop to pick one up.

dica

A gaming PC ($2,500) is much better than a laptop for streaming — it gives a streaming performance boost, higher viewer counts, and better earnings. You can upgrade it later for even more bonuses.

Channel setup

When you first join the streamer job, a prompt asks you to personalize your channel:

  • Channel name — pick anything up to 20 characters (or get a random one)
  • Content category — gaming, IRL, music, tech, or creative

Your choice of category affects which stream topics appear during your career. You can see your channel info on the employment screen.

Key skills and stats

  • Streaming — primary skill; trained on the job and through the streaming basics course
  • Communication — grows from chat interactions and live sessions
  • Fame — the dynamic stat that tracks your public profile; gates promotions at higher ranks
  • Basic computer — entry requirement and grows from analytics work

Education

Complete the Streaming Basics course (apprenticeship tier) — it is required to reach the partner level and above. The course is affordable and teaches foundational streaming knowledge.

Streams and subscribers

Your career revolves around two loops:

Passive streams (day-pass events)

While employed, the game periodically offers you a stream series — a multi-day run with a specific topic, estimated viewers, and projected earnings. Accept to go live; the stream runs for several days with random events (trolls, raids, donations, copyright strikes, tech failures, viral moments) and ends with a payout based on fame, streaming skill, subscriber count, and PC level.

Active actions

Three privileged actions appear at the top of your action list while streaming:

  • Go Live — an impromptu tap targets mini-game. Success earns money (scales with subscribers), fame, and new subscribers. Cooldown: 3 days.
  • Interact with Chat — available during an active stream series. Boosts viewer count and trains communication and persuasion. Cooldown: 5 days.
  • Review Analytics — requires a PC. Trains streaming and computer skills. Cooldown: 10 days.
dica

Go Live earnings scale with your subscriber count — the more followers you have, the more each live session pays. At 500 subscribers you earn roughly $100 extra per session.

Gaming PC

The gaming PC is a key item for serious streamers. Buy it at the electronics shop for $2,500, then upgrade it up to level 5 for increasing bonuses.

Upgrade path

Upgrades are done at the electronics shop via the Upgrade Gaming PC action. Each level costs money:

LevelCostCumulative
1 → 2$500$500
2 → 3$1,000$1,500
3 → 4$1,500$3,000
4 → 5$2,000$5,000

What upgrades do

Each PC level improves your streaming in multiple ways:

  • +3 base viewers per level to every stream
  • 10% earnings multiplier per level (up to 50% at max)
  • Better mini-game — targets last longer and spawn faster, making Go Live easier
  • More subscriber gains at stream end

Maxing out your gaming PC to level 5 unlocks the Ultimate Setup achievement.

Random events

While a stream series is running, you will encounter events that test your decisions:

  • Troll in chat — handle toxic viewers
  • Tech failure — your setup crashes mid-stream
  • Viral clip — a moment blows up online
  • Donation message — a big donor with a weird request
  • Stream raid — another streamer sends their audience to you
  • Copyright strike — music or content gets flagged
  • IRL recognized — someone recognizes you from your streams
  • Burnout warning — the grind catches up to you

You will also face decisions like sponsor deals, stream controversies, and collaboration invites. These affect your fame, money, and subscriber count.

Strategy

  1. Buy a gaming PC first — a laptop works but the PC gives meaningful bonuses from day one.
  2. Complete streaming basics early — it gates the partner level.
  3. Upgrade your PC when you can afford it — each level pays for itself quickly through better earnings.
  4. Accept stream series — passive income and subscriber growth happen during active streams.
  5. Use Go Live on cooldown — the mini-game is the fastest way to earn money and subscribers manually.
  6. Watch your energy — streaming actions cost energy; keep it above danger zone to avoid missing streams.
aviso

If you resign from the streamer job, your active stream series is abandoned. Your channel, subscribers, and PC upgrades are preserved if you return to streaming later.
